A vacuum circuit breaker uses a vacuum environment to achieve circuit interruption and protection. Inside the breaker, current flows through designated electrodes, generating a strong current composed of vapor and gas. When the switching operation occurs, the vacuum between the electrodes causes the current to be rapidly interrupted, effectively preventing the formation of an electric arc. This process provides extremely high insulation performance; therefore, a vacuum circuit breaker is able to maintain excellent insulating properties in both the open and closed states.
Its main components include the operating mechanism, the circuit breaker body, and the control system. Through the coordinated operation of these components, the breaker can quickly cut off the power supply in the event of a fault or overload, thereby protecting the safety of the entire electrical system.
