chassis truck is primarily designed to support circuit breakers, transformers, and other components in withdrawable switchgear. It facilitates the pushing and extraction of the chassis. As an auxiliary operation, it connects components and busbars. When operated with the internal mechanism of the circuit breaker and the interlock mechanism of the mid-placed cabinet, it meets the interlock requirements of the “5 Preventions” stipulated in GB3906. The specific functions are as follows:
The circuit breaker can only be closed when the handcart is in the testing, isolating, or working position. When the handcart is in the locked state, this prevents misconnection and mismatched isolation contacts with the load.
If the handcart is in the working position or moves 110mm away from the testing/isolating position, the earthing switch fails to close, thus avoiding unintentional operation of the switch.
When the earthing switch is closed, the handcart cannot shift from the testing/isolating position to the working position, preventing the circuit breaker from closing inadvertently.
Once the chassis enters the cabinet and moves away from the testing/isolating position, the handcart cannot be drawn out of the cabinet.
DPC Chassis truck definition
Note: There are five types of lock plates available for selection. The standard specification is 8B.141.012. If you require any of the other four lock plates, please specify your choice when placing the order.
A. DPC-D-El/G Chassis Truck
This model adds a door-closing function. The chassis handle can only be operated when the cabinet door is closed. No modification to the cabinet door is required.
B. DPC-EJ-El/S Chassis Truck
In addition to the features in item A, this model includes a locking mechanism. When the handcart moves away from the testing position, the door will be locked and can only be opened when the handcart returns to the testing position. The cabinet door requires modification.
The DPC-/G/S KYN28A chassis truck is an essential component for High Voltage VD4 circuit breaker operations. Designed for reliability, safety, and efficiency, it incorporates earthing contacts and a mid-door interlock, ensuring secure alignment of circuit breakers within KYN28A switchgear. This chassis truck is engineered to meet the rigorous demands of industrial and utility-grade electrical systems, optimizing both operational safety and maintenance efficiency.
The chassis truck features robust earthing contacts, which automatically ground the VD4 circuit breaker during insertion or withdrawal. This design prevents accidental electrical contact, protecting maintenance personnel and reducing downtime.
The mid-door interlock enhances operational safety by preventing the truck from moving unless the switchgear door is correctly positioned. This interlock ensures that all safety protocols are maintained during operation.
Engineered for precise VD4 circuit breaker alignment, the chassis truck ensures smooth insertion and extraction, minimizing wear on both the truck and the breaker. This reduces long-term maintenance costs.
Constructed from high-strength materials and reinforced for heavy-duty applications, the chassis truck withstands high operational loads, ensuring long-term reliability in demanding industrial environments.
Specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with KYN28A high-voltage switchgear, the chassis truck meets all manufacturer standards and ensures consistent performance.

Pre-Installation Checks
Verify chassis truck dimensions against switchgear specifications.
Inspect earthing contacts and interlock mechanism for proper function.
Insertion Procedure
Open switchgear door fully and engage mid-door interlock.
Align chassis truck guide rails with the VD4 breaker slot.
Slowly insert the chassis, ensuring earthing contacts make proper contact.
Locking and Operation
Engage locking pins to secure chassis.
Confirm that mid-door interlock prevents unintended operation.
Removal Procedure
Unlock pins and carefully retract chassis.
Ensure earthing contacts disengage safely before full extraction.
Following this installation guide ensures maximum safety and operational reliability.
Inspect wheels and rollers for wear and lubricate monthly.
Clean earthing contacts to maintain low resistance.
Check mid-door interlock functionality during every inspection cycle.
Always ensure switchgear is de-energized before inserting or removing the chassis truck.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling high-voltage components.
Avoid mechanical shock to the chassis to prevent alignment damage.
Issue | Possible Cause | Recommended Action |
---|---|---|
Chassis difficult to insert | Misalignment of guide rails | Re-align chassis and verify rail clearance |
Earthing contact resistance high | Oxidation or dirt on contacts | Clean contacts with appropriate solvent |
Interlock not engaging | Mechanical obstruction or debris | Inspect and clear mechanism |
Wheels/joints squeak or jam | Lack of lubrication | Apply recommended industrial lubricant |
Adhering to these maintenance and troubleshooting guidelines ensures long-term reliability.
