chassis truck is primarily designed to support circuit breakers, transformers, and other components in withdrawable switchgear. It facilitates the pushing and extraction of the chassis. As an auxiliary operation, it connects components and busbars. When operated with the internal mechanism of the circuit breaker and the interlock mechanism of the mid-placed cabinet, it meets the interlock requirements of the “5 Preventions” stipulated in GB3906. The specific functions are as follows:

The circuit breaker can only be closed when the handcart is in the testing, isolating, or working position. When the handcart is in the locked state, this prevents misconnection and mismatched isolation contacts with the load.

If the handcart is in the working position or moves 110mm away from the testing/isolating position, the earthing switch fails to close, thus avoiding unintentional operation of the switch.

When the earthing switch is closed, the handcart cannot shift from the testing/isolating position to the working position, preventing the circuit breaker from closing inadvertently.

Once the chassis enters the cabinet and moves away from the testing/isolating position, the handcart cannot be drawn out of the cabinet.

Detection and Testing Standards

1. Visual Inspection

Before installation, verify:

  • No physical damage on the chassis frame

  • Interlock mechanism operates freely

  • Earthing contacts are intact and properly aligned

2. Mechanical Testing

  • Ensure smooth sliding of the chassis on rails

  • Mid door interlock functions correctly at full travel

  • Load testing for rated current capability

3. Electrical Verification

  • Insulation resistance tests according to IEC 62271

  • Continuity of earthing contacts verified with multimeter

  • Contact resistance measurement under rated conditions

4. Safety Compliance

All testing must adhere to international and national standards:

  • IEC 62271 for high voltage switchgear

  • GB 3906 for AC metal-enclosed switchgear

  • Vd4 interlock standard for operational safety

Installation Guidelines

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Preparation

    • Ensure the installation area is clean and free from debris

    • Verify dimensions of the switchgear compartment

  2. Chassis Placement

  3. Mid Door Interlock Installation

    • Attach the interlock assembly to the chassis frame

    • Check for free movement and secure locking

  4. Earthing Contacts Connection

    • Connect the earthing conductor to the designated terminal

    • Test continuity to ensure proper earthing

  5. Final Verification

    • Insert switchgear units fully to verify smooth movement

    • Test interlock operation with chassis fully engaged and withdrawn

Operational Guidelines

1. Insertion and Withdrawal

  • Use slow, controlled motion when inserting switchgear units

  • Ensure mid door interlock engages correctly before energizing

2. Safety Measures

  • Always verify earthing connection before operation

  • Do not bypass interlock mechanisms under any circumstances

  • Wear appropriate PPE when handling high voltage equipment

3. Handling Tips

  • Avoid excessive force on chassis rails

  • Lubricate sliding surfaces periodically with approved compounds

  • Inspect interlock pins for wear or deformation
